Privacy notice
TechJobs helps you find technology jobs and prepare strong applications. This page explains, in plain language, what we store and what we do with it.
What we store
- Your account: name, email address, and a securely hashed password, or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google.
- Your resumes, including every version you create or tailor for a job.
- Your activity in the app: saved jobs, notes, applications you track, match results and job alert preferences.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is required for the app to work and is not used for advertising.
Job listings
Job listings come from the public career pages of the companies shown. We do not share your resume or profile with those companies. When you apply, you do so on the employer's own site, under their privacy terms.
Matching and suggestions
Match scores are calculated from your resume and the job posting by TechJobs itself. When you ask for rewrite or tailoring suggestions and an AI service is connected, the relevant resume text and job details are sent to that service to produce the suggestion. Nothing changes on your resume until you accept a suggestion.
Emails
We send emails you ask for: password reset links and, if you turn them on, job alert digests. Our emails use open and click tracking to help us understand whether messages arrive and are useful. Links that carry a sign-in or reset code are never tracked. Every digest has an unsubscribe link.
Site analytics
We count visits to public pages with a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites.
Your choices
- Edit or delete any resume, alert, saved job or application at any time.
- Turn off alert emails from any digest or from Settings.
- Delete your account from Settings. This permanently removes your profile, resumes and activity.
